Be Your Own Best Friend

A good friend is worth their weight in gold.

When we are down a good friend knows what to say to raise our spirits. They know how to make us smile and laugh. When we are demotivated, they remind us of why we need to continue. They remind us of how far we have come. When we have been successful, they are genuinely happy for us.

A good friend is worth their weight in gold.

When that negative voice in our head tells us we are not good enough, our best friend reminds us of all the reason why we are more than good enough. They remind us of all our past success, our skills and talents.

When the voice tells us to stop before we embarrass ourselves, our best friend is there supporting and cheering us, as we move out of our comfort zone into success.

Isn’t it high time that we speak to ourselves as we would talk to our best friend?
Isn’t it high time that we treat ourselves the same way we would treat our best friend?

We talk to ourselves in a way we would never speak to a good friend. It is time to stop.
