When everything seems to be going against us, it seems impossible to think positively.  At times we feel like our lives are going nowhere and then negative thoughts start to drag us down.

They affect our health and our performance.  They can also have a negative effect on our relationships. We may not necessarily be in a state of depression, but we find that we are spending more time on our own, as we don’t want to talk to anyone and are not in the mood to be around happy people.

Take Action

Every so often we hear of someone we know who is doing very well, and we find ourselves discussing their success with friends and family. We say things like; “if I really wanted to, I too could open up my own business” “if he can do it, so can I”, “she was not even that clever in school”, “he is nothing special”, “you can do it; why don’t you start something similar?”

Instead of talking about how you are capable of achieving similar success if you really wanted it, you should be asking yourself “how come they have done it and I haven’t?”

 They did it because they took action.
